The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has announced that it will rename the “GMAT Focus Edition” to the familiar “GMAT Exam” starting July 1, 2024.

In a recent announcement, the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) unveiled plans to transition from the “GMAT Focus Edition” to the familiar “GMAT Exam” name, effective July 1, 2024. This transition marks a pivotal moment for both schools and candidates navigating the graduate management education landscape.

The decision to revert to the “GMAT Exam” name comes after a period during which both the GMAT Exam and GMAT Focus Edition were available in the market. This move streamlines the branding and simplifies the identification of the standardized test for business school admissions.

Despite the change in nomenclature, GMAC assures stakeholders that the essence of the exam remains unchanged. Candidates can expect the same structure, content, scoring, and test features that they have come to rely on. Moreover, the existing GMAT Focus Official Prep materials will continue to be relevant for candidates preparing for the exam.
