APPSC Group 1 Main Exam 2019

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has announced that the group 1 main examination will be conducted on December 12, 2019 and the exam was scheduled to end on December 23, 2019. The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has released a notification that the date of the examination will be revised on account of the Sankranti festival. So, the date of the examination will be moved from December 12, 2019. The revised date will be revealed by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service commission in their official website on the 13th of November 2019.

Exam Pattern:

The candidates will have to appear for a total of 7 papers for the Group 1 main examination. 2 papers out of the 5 papers will be Qualifying Papers. The qualifying papers will be language papers. The 2 papers are

  • Paper in Telugu
  • Paper in English

The candidates have to score a total of 40 marks to pass the qualifying paper. The official website of APPSC is https://psc.ap.gov.in/ .

The other 5 papers will be the papers which will be considered for merit-based ranking. Each paper will be conducted for 150 marks and the duration of the exam will be for 180 minutes.

The papers are:

PAPER 1: Paper 1 will contain essay type question based on the Regional, national and international issues.

PAPER 2: Paper 2 will be on History, Culture and the geography of India and Andhra Pradesh.

PAPER 3: Paper 3 will be based on the Constitution of India, Policy, Governance, Law and Ethics.

PAPER 4: The candidates has to prepare on the Economy and Development of India and Andhra Pradesh.

PAPER 5: The final paper will be on the Science and technology and the Environmental Issues.

INTERVIEW: The candidates who have cleared the main examination will have to appear for the Interview round.
