TISSNET Syllabus 2024

The TISSNET (Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test) 2024 syllabus covers a wide range of topics from different subject areas. The exam pattern includes objective-type questions that test the candidate’s knowledge in various areas. The syllabus for TISSNET 2024 is as follows:

  1. General Awareness: Current affairs, social issues, social problems, social movements, economy, geography, Indian constitution, social welfare schemes, public policy, international events, and social policies.

  2. English Proficiency: Reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, synonyms, antonyms, analogies, sentence correction, and idioms.

  3. Mathematics and Logical Reasoning: Algebra, geometry, mensuration, ratio and proportion, percentages, profit and loss, number series, data interpretation, critical reasoning, and verbal reasoning.

  4. Social Awareness: Human rights, social exclusion, caste-based discrimination, gender inequality, child abuse, women empowerment, communalism, globalization, urbanization, social change, and development.

National Entrance Exam for TATA Institute of Social Sciences:

Every year, TATA Institute of Social Sciences holds a unique entrance exam for admission to their programs. The course offers by TATA institute of Social Sciences (TISS) are master’s in arts and Philosophy studies program and Doctoral program.

The exam of TISSNET will be conduct on First week of March 2024, the time duration of the exam between 2 pm and 3.40 pm (for a span of 100 minutes). The exam will conduct online(computer based test). The exam will be conducted on the sane date all over India. 

The following is an important detail about the TISSNET 2024 Exam:

  1. The paper does not contain any negative mark. 
  2. For all programmes, there is a single question paper.
  3. Paper has 100 questions  with the time durtion of 100 minutes
  4. There is a change in the marking scheme. The marking scheme is as follows:  40 marks for General Awareness, 30 for English Proficiency, and 30 for Mathematics and Logical Reasoning

The results of the TATA Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test were expected to be released during the first week of March.
