TISSNET Cutoff 2019

TISSNET is a National Entrance Test which is conducted by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), all over India. TISSNET is an exam which is conducted on computers. Through TISSNET the candidates can get admission in many programs offered by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Some of the programs offered are in the field of human resources, education, social works and urban studies. One of the most sought- after program offered by TISS is the degree of Master of Arts and Sciences (MA) in the field of Human Resources and Management and in the field of Labor relations as well. If the TISSNET exam is to be considered, then the selection procedure is comprised of three rounds. After the candidate clears the cut off of the computer- based exam, that is the TISSNET, then he or she is called for the second and third round, that is the personal interview (PI) and the group discussion (GD). The cut off of the test conducted for that particular year is decided by the authorities of the TISSNET who conduct the test. The cut off is decided only after the results are published. Candidates are then finally selected based on many other criteria even after clearing the entrance exam, personal interview and group discussion rounds. These criteria include the work experience if any, academic records, the profile etc.

The cut off varies every year, depending upon various factors such as the difficulty level of the entrance test of that year, the total number of the candidates who applied for the test and also the number of seats available in each of the campus available.
