Admission @GIMS

PGDM 4.0 offered at GNIOT Institute of Management Studies is a Two-Year full-time program, which follows a trimester system & offers dual specialization. The first year comprises core courses and the second year consists of elective courses. The program offers dual specialization in the second year in Human Resource Marketing, Finance, Marketing, Information Technology & Analytics, and Operations Management. Tips for Group Discussion and Personal Interview
Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI), Presentation Skills (PS) and Written Ability Test (WAT) are an integral part of the GNOIT Institute of Management Studies, Greater Noida. It is crucial to know what to say and what NOT to say during a GD and PI the same goes for the PS and WAT. Candidates should know what to write in 250-300 words within 20 minutes and the Nitty-Gritty of presentation skills.

Screening Process in GIMS

  1. To apply in GIMS first the candidate has to fill the Application form offline or online.
  2. The Application form will be scrutinized by the GIMS panel and the candidates will be shortlisted on the following parameters:
    i) Consistency of academic record
    ii) Versatility and Achievement
    iii) Relevance of work experience for the specialization (if any)
  3. Applicants shortlisted in the stage II, will be called for GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT). The test would be for 60 Mins and would have questions related to Language comprehension, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning and Mathematical Skills.
  4. The students, who qualify GAT, would be invited for Group Discussion on the campus. The topic of discussion will be provided by a panellist or a group of panellists. Students who qualify Group Discussion will be eligible for the next round.
  5. Shortlisted candidates after Group Discussion will have to face either of the follow
    i) Personal Interview
    ii) Presentation
    iii) Essay Round
  6. Final Selection will be based on the decision of a panellist or a group of panellists. The selection list is based on a composite score, which takes into account the applicant’s profile, academic record, entrance test scores MAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT or GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT), performance in the Group Discussion and Interview/Presentation/Essay Round.

The decision of the Admission Committee shall be binding & final.

APPLICATION FORM

To apply for the PGDM Program at GIMS, applicants must fill the form either offline or on the online admissions portal. The Application processing fee is Rs. 1200. This fee can be paid through credit card or net banking.

SCREENING OF APPLICATION FORM

The application forms will be scrutinized by the GIMS panel and the candidates will be shortlisted on the following parameters:

  • Consistency of academic record
  • Versatility and achievement
  • Relevance of work experience for the specialization (If any)

GIMS APTITUDE TEST (GAT)

Applicants shortlisted in stage II will be called for GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT). The test would be for 60 Mins and would have questions related to Language comprehension, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, and Mathematical Skills.

This test will be optional for the students who have qualified 80 or above percentile in MAT/CAT/XAT/MAT or GMAT score. But it will be mandatory for the candidate to appear for all the other stages of the selection process.

GROUP DISCUSSION

The students, who qualify for GAT, would be invited for Group Discussion on the campus. The topic of discussion will be provided by a panelist or a group of panelists. Students who qualify for Group Discussion will be eligible for the next round.

PERSONAL INTERVIEW/PRESENTATION/ESSAY ROUND

Shortlisted candidates after Group Discussion will have to face either of the following

  • Personal Interview (Face to face or Skype)
  • Presentation (Student will have to prepare and give a PowerPoint Presentation on a topic given)
  • Essay Round (Written)

FINAL SELECTION

Final Selection will be based on the decision of a panelist or a group of panelists. The selection list is based on a composite score, which takes into account the applicant’s profile, academic record, entrance test scores MAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT or GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT), performance in the Group Discussion and Interview/Presentation/Essay Round.

GIMS weightage on the different parameters is given below:

  • Merit List Parameters GIMS Weightage

  • Percentile score in Written Test Entrance (MAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT or GAT) 40%

The decision of the Admission Committee shall be binding & final.

Any act or omission of suppressing academic information or furnishing false documents etc. will make the admission aspirant automatically disqualified at any stage of the admission process. No fee shall be refunded in such case and such offender will be liable to face appropriate penal action by the institute.

Prevalent norms of AICTE shall be followed for the admission process.
