SSC CPO 2019 Exam Information

SSC CPO (Staff Selection Commission Central Police Organization) exam is for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), and Assistant Sub Inspectors in CISF (Central Industrial Security Force), Sub Inspector in BSF (Border Security Force), Sub Inspector in CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force), Sub Inspector in Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Sub Inspector in Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF).


 The exam is conducted by SSC on a national level to fill the required number of seats in the above- mentioned posts. BSF, CISF, ITBP, SSB comes under CAPF. The aspirants appearing and passing the exam can be posted anywhere in India.

SSC CPO 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The SSC has some eligibility criteria that have to be followed by the aspirants. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

a). Nationality:

As per the norms set by SSC, the aspirant can be any of the following nationality:

  • Citizen of India
  • Subject of Nepal
  • Subject of Bhutan
  • A Tibetan refugee came over to India before January 1st, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • A person from Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, United Republic of Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam, with the intention of permanently settling in India.

b). Age Limit:

The SSC CPO has some age limit to be followed that is to be followed by the aspirants. The candidates should possess the minimum and maximum age for appearing for the exam. The age limit for General, OBC, SC/ST candidates are given below.

SSC CPO 2019 Registration

The candidates have to register themselves for appearing in the SSC CPO exam.

The steps applying for the exam are as follows:

  • Visit the official website
  • Click on the apply button given on the website
  • The new registration link window will appear on the screen
  • Click on the new registration in SSC CPO application window
  • Then click on the submit button
  • To begin with the registration the candidates have to give the basic details like name, date of birth, email id, mobile number etc.
  • Click on the submit button to submit the registration form of SSC CPO
  • Now the candidates are required to login with the provided registration ID, date of birth and password to complete the registration of SSC CPO
  • Now upload the photograph and signature. The photograph should be recent colored passport size and it must be more than 4 KB in size and less than 12 KB. The photo resolution must be 100*120 pixels in width and height.
  • The signature must be in black or blue ink in the white sheet. The scanned copy of sign must be in JPG format and it should be more than 1 KB in size and less than 12 KB. The resolution for signature should be 40*60 pixels in width and height.
  • Then login with the registered ID and password to complete the part II of the application form
  • After filling the form, the candidates are advised to preview the form of SSC CPO and confirm whether the details given are correct.

SSC CPO 2019 Exam Pattern

The candidates who are applying for the exam of SSC CPO have to first know the exam pattern. Then they will be able to prepare for the exam. It is crucial to know the structure of the exam pattern that needs to be prepared in and out for the upcoming SSC CPO exam.

The SSC CPO exam has 3 different stages and the candidates have to clear in order to get selected for the various posts. The SSC CPO paper 1 is objective type question paper. Paper 2 exams are English comprehension test, while PET/PST test is conducted to check the endurance of the candidate.

The question in the paper 1 will be set in English and Hindi in parts A, B, and C. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in both the paper 1 and paper 2.

The commission may fix qualifying marks in paper 2 later, but as of now, it is just of qualifying nature

SSC CPO 2019 Admit Card

The candidates applied for the SSC CPO exam can download the exam admit card on the official website. The candidates can download the admit card by following the steps given below:

SSC CPO tier 1 exam admit card:

  • Visit the official website
  • Now enter the roll number/registration number
  • Then enter the date of birth/ password
  • Select the preferred area/city that is mentioned at the time of registration
  • Click on the search button
  • The admit card for tier 1 exam will appear on the screen.
  • Save and download the admit card.
  • Take the printout of the SSC CPO admit card for future reference.

SSC CPO 2019 Result

The result will be announced by Staff Selection Commission after the exam of tier 1 and tier 2 exams. The result can be checked by the candidates who appeared for the exam of SSC CPO.

  • The link for SI in Delhi police, CAPF’s and ASI in CISF marks will appear

After the tier 1 result, the candidates have to go through the PET (Physical Endurance Test), PST (Physical Standard Test), Medical Test.

The candidates will be eligible for tier 2 exam if they qualify the physical test. The physical test will be qualifying in nature and it will not be considered for merit list.

Only the combined performance in tier 1 and tier 2 papers will be considered for merit list.
