JEE Mains Cutoff

National Testing Agency will release the cut off for JEE Main 2019 separately for the two session (January and April). CBSE will no longer be conducting the exam nor release the results and cutoffs. With the proclamation of JEE mains results and AIR, NTA will also been publishing percentile score.

The cut off for 2018, given below

Category Qualified Maximum Marks Minimum Marks
Common Rank List 111275 350 74
OBC-NCL 65313 73 45
SC 34425 73 29
ST 17256 73 24
PWD 2755 73 -35

JEE Main Cutoff is evaluated based on a number of factors. JAB (Joint Admission Board) has already declared from JEE Main 2017 onwards that class 12th marks will not be for calculating All India Ranks in JEE Main. This implies the meaning that candidates need to perform even better in the entrance for securing a good rank in JEE mains 2019.

Here are some of the most important factors that help to derive the JEE Main Cut off each year:

  • Number of candidates appearing for the exam
  • Level of difficulty of the exam
  • Total number of available seats
  • Overall performance of the candidate

The expected cutoff for the year 2019 will be 80 for general and is expected to be higher for others also. According to experts who analyze the trend of the change, they are predicting a hike in the cutoff for the year 2019 to 100-110.

The JEE mains 2019 is scheduled to be held in April and the results will be out by 30th April 2019.
