Scholarships and Financial Aid at XIMR Mumbai

XIMR Mumbai offers several scholarships and financial assistance programs to support students from various backgrounds, particularly those with strong academic records and financial need.

1. Pedro Arrupe Scholarships & Fee Waivers

Offered to academically meritorious students, especially from economically weaker and reserved backgrounds.
Scholarships may include partial or full tuition fee waivers.
Consideration is based on academic performance, minority status, and financial need.

2. Minority Scholarships

Provided to students from the Roman Catholic minority community.
Typically includes a scholarship amount ranging between ₹25,000 to ₹35,000.
Awarded based on both merit and financial background.

3. Merit-Based Scholarships

Offered to students with outstanding academic records and high entrance exam scores (MHT CET, CAT, MAT, etc.).
May include tuition discounts or one-time financial aid.
Designed to reward academic excellence across categories.

4. Placement-Based Financial Support

Students with strong academic performance and placement results may receive institutional support.
Though not a formal scholarship, this aid is offered as recognition of excellence during the program.

5. Government Fee Waivers

As per Maharashtra state norms, orphan students are eligible for 100% tuition and examination fee waivers from the academic year 2024–25.
Applicable to students admitted under any recognised quota, subject to verification and documentation.

Eligibility & Application

Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of academic merit, financial need, minority or reserved category status, and performance in entrance exams.
Applicants usually need to submit relevant documents such as income certificates, academic records, and community/category proofs.
Only one scholarship is typically granted per student, even if they qualify under multiple criteria.
