Kerala University Campus Facilities

Kerala University has two well-designed campuses with state of the art infrastructure. Kariavattom and Palayam are two places where the two campuses are located. Both the campuses are huge and eco-friendly with a large number of greeneries.

The pure and solitary campus away from the city hustle, which is a perfect place for education purposes. Kerala University address is located at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

The Kerala University Kariavattom campus covers 450 acres of vast land. The campus is divided into two zones, north campus and south campus. The national highway runs between two campuses.

The north campus is designed with a science block for Zoology, Botany, Communication and journalism and Bioinformatics blocks. In addition with that a greenhouse, Gama Shine unit, an animal house, is also provided. The animal house is also situated on the north campus.

The northern section also has an O.H. tank and main pump house. A stadium is under construction on 40 acres of land in the north campus. On the eastern region, there is also a mosque. 

The south campus covers most part of the university buildings with Gandhi Bhavan for Environmental Science, two Arts block, Oriental block, three Science blocks, Kerala University library. Separate girls, boys and teacher hostels, six types of quarters, guest house, health centre are also constructed within the campus.

To make the living of the students and staffs easy the campus also has ATM, open-air auditorium, post office, State Bank of Travancore, cafeteria playground, Co-operative store. 

The Palayam campus was constructed on an area of 16.61 acres. This campus has less green than the Kariavattom one and mostly covered with buildings. This campus is designed with a State Bank of Travancore, library, several educational blocks, health centre, publication department, hostels, canteen, guesthouse, Indian coffee house. For the spiritual purpose, the campus also has Mandir, Church and Mosque.
