About College

University of Allahabad, informally known as Allahabad University was established on September 23rd, 1887. Allahabad University is the fourth oldest university in India after Calcutta, Bombay and Madras University. The University offers several courses in streams like Arts, Science, Commerce, Law etc. in 11 constituent colleges of the University.
Admission to Allahabad University will be entirely based on the marks in entrance exams such as PGAT, LFAT, LAT etc. The University was ranked among top 100 universities in India by National Institutional Ranking Framework (MHRD) in 2017.

Allahabad University Entrance Exam

  • The university conducts its own admission exams for various courses called Allahabad University Entrance Exams. The university conducts a various test like UGAT (Under Graduate Admission Test) and
  • PGAT (Post Graduate Admission Test), LAT (Law Admission Test), etc. Allahabad University admission 2018 will be done on the basis of score of Allahabad University Entrance Exam 2018.
  • LAT Allahabad University Law Admission Test (Allahabad University LAT) is a university-level entrance examination conducted by the Allahabad University. Candidates meeting the cut-off score would be called for the succeeding round of counselling, based on merit.

Allahabad University Courses and Admission

Allahabad University offers various UG, PG, M.Phil. and D.Phil. courses in the faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce, Law and Management along with PG Diploma programs. Additionally, the university also offers a Ph.D. program in Business Management in association with AMU.

Undergraduate Course Eligibility

The University offers BA., B.Sc., B.Com., BFA and BPA program in several specializations at the Undergraduate level. The basic criteria to apply is intermediate in the relevant subject from a recognized board. Selection will be based on the marks in UGAT entrance exam followed by University-based counselling.

Postgraduate Course Eligibility

Allahabad University offers various Postgraduate programs namely, MBA, MA, M.Sc., MPA, MFA, M.P.Ed and M.Tech. The criteria to apply is Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University. In order to get selected, the applicant must appear for PGAT exam and perform well in university-based counselling. UOA also offers admission to MBA (RD) on the basis of Written Test and GD and PI.

M.Phil., D.Phil., and Ph.D. Course Eligibility

M.Phil. and D.Phil. programs are offered by Govind Ballabh Pant Social Science Institute, a constituent of Allahabad University. UOA also offers Ph.D. in Business Administration in association with AMU. The criteria to apply is Masters in the relevant discipline from a recognized board. Students have to appear in CRET conducted by Allahabad University to secure admission in M.Phil. and D.Phil. Admission of candidates to Ph.D. (Business Administration) is based on the score obtained in RMAT conducted by AIMA.

LL.B. and BA LL.B. Course Eligibility

Admission to LL.B. program offered by the constituent colleges namely, Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad Degree College (CMP Degree College) and Allahabad Degree College (ADC) will be on the basis of Law Admission Test (LAT). In order to appear for LAT, a student must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 45% marks. Whereas, admission to five-year BA LL.B. program will be on the basis of marks in All India Law Entrance Test (LFAT). To apply, a student must have passed 10+2 certified by the Bar Council of India from a recognized board with minimum 45% marks. AU Courses and Fees structure
