School of Broadcasting & Communication was incorporated and came into being with a vision of bringing world class, state-of-the art broadcasting and media education and technology in the hub of media centric city - Mumbai, thus indirectly contributing media professionals to the Indian sub-continent in entirety. SBC seeks to provide the Indian Media Broadcast as well as the Journalism industry with trained and skilled personnel who are equipped with the latest technology and skill-sets and are empowered to meet the dynamic challenges in the global landscape.

Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCNUJC), also known as Makhanlal Chaturvedi Rashtriya Patrakarita Avam Sanchar Vishwavidyalaya or in short Makhanlal University (Mākhanlāl Viśhvavidhālaya), is a public University in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is named after Makhan Lal Chaturvedi, a freedom fighter, poet and journalist, and was established in 1992 by the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. It is India's first university for Journalism and Mass Communication.
