SBU Scholarship 2026

Sarala Birla University (SBU), Ranchi offers multiple scholarships and fee waivers for the 2026 academic session. These include merit-based scholarships, category scholarships, and internal semester-based scholarships that help reduce the tuition fee burden for eligible students.

1. Merit-Based Scholarships

Applicable during admission based on Class 12 / Graduation percentage.

Key Points:

  • Applied on tuition fees for all semesters.

  • Not applicable on hostel, transport, or exam fees.

  • Original mark sheets must be produced at admission.

2. Category-Based Scholarships 2026

These scholarships apply to specific groups:

  • Children/Grandchildren of Freedom Fighters: 10% fee waiver

  • Children of Armed/Para-Military Personnel: 15% waiver

  • Students from Sarala Birla Public School: 25% waiver

  • Children/Spouse of BAGM UNIT Employees: 25% waiver

  • Students with Disabilities: 25% waiver

  • Kashmiri Migrant Students: 15% waiver

Note:

Only one scholarship can be availed at a time. These cannot be combined with merit or internal scholarships.

3. Internal Semester-Based Scholarships (For Existing Students)

These are awarded based on semester exam performance:

Conditions:

  • Valid for one semester only.

4. Important Guidelines for SBU Scholarship 2026

  • Scholarships apply only to tuition fees.

  • Cannot be clubbed unless mentioned.

  • Requires valid documentation during admission or semester evaluation.

  • Continuation of scholarship depends on disciplinary and academic standards.

  • University reserves the right to revise or modify scholarship rules.
