NTPC is currently accepting applications for the PGDM Program for the 2024 batch. Interested candidates can apply for the PGDM Program through the official website.

NTPC School of Business (NSB), an integral part of NTPC, offers an AICTE-approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) Executive program designed for working professionals. Starting from the current academic year, NSB has introduced PGDM with a specialisation in Energy Management, with academic support from IIM Ahmedabad (IIMA). NTPC School of Business Noida course admissions is available in two rounds.

  • NTPC School of Business (NSB) offers an online mode of application for both courses.
  • For NTPC School of Business Noida course admissions to the PGDM in Energy Management, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) in BE/B.Tech/B.Sc./B.Com/CA/ICWA, or an equivalent degree with at least 50% marks.
  • NTPC School of Business Noida course admissions to both the PGDM and PGDM Executive programs is based on CAT/GMAT/XAT scores for Self-Sponsored candidates.
  • Final selection is determined by the Admission Score (AS) and Personal Assessment (PA).

NTPC School of Business (NSB) PGDM Admission 2024

NTPC School of Business in Noida offers a two-year full-time PGDM program in Energy Management designed for both graduate students and working executives. Additionally, the institute provides a full-time PGDM Executive program spanning 15 months.

To be eligible for the PGDM in Energy Management, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) in disciplines such as BE/B.Tech/B.Sc./B.Com/CA/ICWA, or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 50% marks or CGPA from a recognised university or institution. For candidates from SC/ST/Differently Abled Persons with Disabilities categories, a minimum of 45% marks in the bachelor’s degree is required. Selection for the program is based on the Admission Score (AS), which considers performance in CAT/GMAT/XAT, academic achievements, experience in the energy/power/oil sector, and educational background.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for Personal Assessment (PA) based on their Admission Score (AS). Final selection will be determined solely by the combined scores of AS and PA.

The institute also provides an Executive PGDM program for both company-sponsored and self-sponsored candidates. The minimum eligibility requirement for the PGDM Executive program is a Bachelor’s degree/CA/ICWA with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognised university, along with a minimum of 3 years of work experience as of June 30. Selection for this program is based on CAT/GMAT/XAT scores for Self-Sponsored candidates.

Academic Diversity Factor

Students who have completed their graduation in any of the listed courses will receive 6 points as Academic Diversity Factor Points. The eligible courses include: BA, BA(H), B.Sc, B.Sc.(H), BS, B.Com, B.Com(H), BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, LL.B, MBBS, BDS, or any other Non-Engineering subject areas at the Bachelor’s level.

Composite Score Evaluation for PI Shortlisting

Candidates will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview based on a composite score, which will consider factors such as the score in the Entrance Test, Academic Performance, Academic Diversity Factor, and Gender Diversity Factor. The detailed evaluation of these factors has been provided above. Below, we present the final weightage given for the shortlisting of candidates for the interview.

Based on the aforementioned criteria, candidates will be assessed out of a total of 100 marks for the final selection for the interview. Candidates who surpass the marks set by the institute will be invited for the interview. Subsequently, candidates must participate in the interview and will be assessed according to the stage 2 process.

Stage 2 – Final Selection After Interview

The candidate’s final selection will be based on their work experience and performance in the personal interview.

Only managerial roles will be taken into account as work experience. Training or project work will not be considered as part of the experience.

Personal Assessment

During the personal interview, candidates will be assessed and awarded a maximum of 35 marks. These marks will be considered in the final evaluation process for NTPC School of Business Noida course admissions.
