• Merit List (Result) Release: 25 July 2025 (Evening)

• Counselling Dates: 29–30 July 2025

• Course Commencement: 4 August 2025

• Spot Admissions (if seats remain vacant): 22 August 2025

Admission Process Summary

1. Entrance Test & Result Declaration:
   
   Candidates applying for PG Diploma programs must appear for a Common Entrance Test (CET). Based on performance, a merit list is prepared and published.

2. Cut-off Criteria:
   
   The cut-off marks are determined based on several factors:

   • Number of applicants

   • Difficulty level of the exam

   • Available seats

   • Reservation categories

   Only candidates scoring above the cut-off are included in the final merit list.

3. Counselling & Screening:
   
   Shortlisted candidates are invited for counselling. A screening process is conducted before final selection.

4. Final Admission & Course Start:
   
   Candidates who clear the counselling and screening steps complete admission formalities and begin classes on the scheduled date.

For B.Tech (Power Engineering) admission:

• Admission Mode: Through JEE Main and IPU CET

• Cut-off: Determined by GGSIPU during counselling rounds based on:

  • JEE Main score

  • IPU CET rank

  • Category and seat availability

Exact rank cut-offs vary yearly and are published during GGSIPU’s centralised counselling rounds.
