Scholarships

NIT Arunachal Pradesh Scholarships

NIT Arunachal Pradesh is among the 31 National Institutes of Technology in India. NIT Arunachal Pradesh provides several Scholarships to make its students’ life go easy in the Institute. The scholarship is paid immediately after a student has secured admission and has started attending the classes.

Students belonging to ST category, who secure admission in NITAP are also awarded with the scholarships. The scholarship will continue until the completion of the course based on the student’s satisfactory performance during the academic years at the institute.

Some of the scholarship provided by the Institute are:

  • NTPC Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST/PC students – Through this scholarship, the students receive RS.4,000/-P.M for 48 months. The Scholarship is only applicable for SC or Schedule Caste and ST or Schedule Tribe students.
  • National Scholarships For Higher Education For ST Students – The scholarship is awarded to students who are pursuing courses at Undergraduate or Postgraduate level from any identified Institutions of excellence in any professional fields such as Information Technology, Management, Law, Medicine, Engineering and Training etc. Students from both Government and Private college can apply for the scholarship. However, the ST students who have secured admission in any of the notified 158 Institutes according to the norms mentioned by the respective Institutes are eligible for a scholarship under the scheme as well as his or her family income from all sources should not exceed Rs.4.50 lakh per annum. 
  • Full remission of the Tuition Fee for General and OBC students – Full tuition fee waiver for General and OBC students whose annual family income lesser than Rs.1 lakh per annum are eligible for the scholarship scheme. In addition to that, 2/3rd of the tuition fees waiver for General and OBC candidates are also provided whose family income is between Rs.1 lakh to Rs.5 lakh per annum.
