NIFT Mumbai Placements

The National Institute of Fashion Technology Mumbai runs a centralized placement process. Through this placement, either company can employ students from any campus or any organization can extend a job offer for the students before the on-campus placement starts.

The new curriculum of NIFTs involves interactive sessions with industry leaders and alumni in the classroom on a regular basis. It also includes Industry visits, Internships, Summer internships, Exposure to exhibitions and fairs, Joint research endeavours and hands-on experience in the fashion industry so that the students can prepare themselves for real-time situations.

In 2016, NIFT on-campus placements were provided in campuses of NIFT New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad.

A total of 401 companies participated for campus placements and a total number 2,011 jobs were offered across various sectors and campuses in which a total of 1,709 students were registered for placements during on-campus placements drive, out of which 1470 students got placed.

Some of the major companies that participated in the NIFT Mumbai placements drive include Snapdeal, Future Group, Incredible Technologies, Lifestyle Group, Vishal Megamart, Max Retail, Reliance Trends, Meena Bazar, Amazon, Oracle, Flipkart and many others.
