NIFT Bangalore Result and Cutoff

Students seeking admission to the Undergraduate level B.Des courses need to appear for the CAT  to Creative Ability Test and GAT or General Aptitude Test in order to be eligible. Hence, NIFT Bangalore cut off is declared after CAT and GAT scores are released. The candidates who score above the cut off marks are called for a Situation Test, which is conducted by NIFT itself every year.

NIFT Bangalore considers only GAT or General Aptitude Test for admission to the undergraduate level B.F.Tech programme. All candidates must be less than  23-years old. However, students belonging to SC or ST or OBC or DA categories are given a relaxation of 5-year.

In order to secure admission to the MFM and M.Des Courses candidates are shortlisted based on the marks scored in the CAT or Common Admission Test and GAT or General Ability Test. Furthermore, at Postgraduate level, for MFM courses, only candidates having a valid score in GAT can apply for the course. Thus, the NIFT Bangalore cutoff for Postgraduate level courses is released after GAT scores are declared.

The candidates who score above the sectional cut off marks moves further to the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. There is no fixed age limit for candidates applying in PG level courses.

Also, candidates who have appeared in the final year of the qualifying examination can also apply for the course. Apart from selection cut off marks, cumulative marks are also considered for admission. NIFT Bangalore generally demands high cut off marks than the other NIFTs in India.
