National Institute of Design Kurukshetra (NIDK) commenced functioning on 15th of November, 2016. Anand Sharma, the then Union Minister of Commerce and Industry laid the foundation stone of the institute. Earlier, the classes were conducted elsewhere that was shifted to the present campus in 2015.
NID offers only undergraduate level design courses. It offers full-time Graduate Diploma Programme in Design with a duration of four years at the Undergraduate level of study.
In education, NID Kurukshetra is rated 4.4 for its study of design. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved the institute. The institute has also been approved by the Association of Indian Universities.

NID Kurukshetra Admission Process

Candidates are required to get a certain score in the DAT exam for NID Kurukshetra admission. The full form of DAT is Design Aptitude Test. The exam is followed by a Studio Test round. The selection of the candidates depends on the combined marks scored in the qualifying exam and the Studio Test round.
