Admission Updates for IIIT Bangalore
Admissions to IIIT Bangalore for 2022 are now open. The institute is now accepting applications for MTech, MSc, and MS/PhD programmes. The deadline to apply for the MTech programme is May 9. Applications for the MSc and MS/PhD programmes are still being accepted through May 15. The institute will begin accepting applications for BTech+MTech admissions on June 6. JEE Main 2022 Session 1 exams will be held from June 20-29, and Session 2 exams will be held from July 21-30.
Admission to IIIT Bangalore is based on national level test results. The institute also administers written exams for the MSc and MS programmes. Admission to the IIIT Bangalore iMTech (BTech + MTech) programme is based on JEE Main scores. NTA has rescheduled the JEE Main 2022 dates. The session 1 exams will now be held from June 20 to 29, while the session 2 exams will be held from July 21 to 30.
GATE scores are required for admission to MTech at IIIT Bangalore. MSc in Digital Society and MS programme admission is done by a written test followed by a PI round. IIIT Bangalore is now accepting applications for postgraduate admissions. The institute will accept MTech admissions applications through May 9. The deadline for applying to the MSc in Digital Society and MS admissions is May 15, 2022.

Admissions to the PG Program at IIIT Bangalore in 2022
GATE scores (valid as of June 1, 2022) are accepted by IIIT Bangalore for admission to the MTech programme. Final admissions to MTech in CSE or ECE are based on GATE results in CS/IT or EC. The GATE cutoff rank required for admission is solely provided by the institute. In 2021, IIIT Bangalore will admit students with up to 650 GATE scores for the CSE programme. The last rank admitted for the ECE course was 620.
The institute administers a written test followed by a personal interview round for admission to the MSc programme in Digital Society. Candidates with valid CAT/ CEED/ CUCET/ TISS NET scores are excluded from the written exam administered by IIIT Bangalore. Candidates who pass the written examination or the national level exam are invited to the interview phase for final admissions. The institute selects candidates based on their performance in the PI.

Admissions 2022, IIIT Bangalore Integrated M.Tech
IIIT Bangalore provides a 5-year Integrated M.Tech program rather than a 4-year BTech degree. The iMTech (BTech + MTech) programme at IIIT Bangalore specialises on CSE and ECE. Admission to the program is determined by the JEE Main score. The institute determines the cutoff ranks for admission. Candidates that meet the cutoff ranks are offered precedence between the CSE and ECE programs. If an applicant is solely interested in one of the specializations available, he or she will be allowed under preference-1. Candidates who are interested in both branches will be admitted under preference-2. Admission to the program is then granted based on the availability of seats.
For students enrolled under preference-2, IIIT Bangalore has also created a particular branch change policy. In the event of a vacancy, preference-2 students will be immediately admitted to preference-1.

Admission to the programme would be dependent on the marks obtained in JEE Main Paper 1. The application forms for admission to the Integrated M.Tech programme at IIITB will be available in the third week of March, tentatively.

- After submitting the application form, the candidate must pay the application cost of INR 1000.
Admissions to Ph.D. and M.S. programs at IIIT Bangalore in 2022
Admission to the MS/PhD program at IIIT Bangalore is done through a written test followed by a personal interview round. Applicants are picked based on their research interests and valid GATE/GRE/CSIR-UGC NET/ UGC-NET/ JEST/ NHBM exam results. Candidates who have passed any of the national-level exams are excluded from the written test phase. The ultimate selection for the programs is based on the performance of the candidates in the interview phase.
