IMT Hyderabad Admission 2023

The commencement of IMT Hyderabad PGDM application process will coincide with the commencement of CAT Registration. CAT 2023 registration is set to commence on August 2, 2023, with the examination scheduled for November 26, 2023. It’s worth noting that the registration fees for CAT 2023 have seen an increase across all categories. For general category applicants, the fee has been raised to ₹2,400, up from ₹2,300 in the previous year. Similarly, for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD categories, the fee has been increased to ₹1,200, compared to the previous year’s ₹1,150.

IMT Hyderabad provides a range of academic programs, including a Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Program for Executives (PGDM Executive), and an FPM (Fellow Program in Management). These programs hold the MBA equivalence issued by AIU and have received accreditation from AICTE, SAQS, and NBA. The institute also offers various certificate programs and sponsored research initiatives. Interestingly, the data reveals that the PGDM program at IMT Hyderabad attracts not only students with backgrounds in Commerce or Management but also a substantial number, over 30%, from Engineering disciplines. While many applicants are recent graduates, some possess valuable work experience, which is viewed as an additional advantage in the selection process.

In addition to its primary program, IMT Hyderabad provides Executive PGDM and FPM offerings. IMT Hyderabad PGDM Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should hold a minimum of 50% aggregate in their undergraduate degree, regardless of the discipline. Final-year undergraduate students are also eligible to apply for the program.

IMT Hyderabad PGDM Selection Process

Selection Process for IMT Hyderabad PGDM Program:

Initial shortlisting of candidates is done based on their performance in CAT/XAT/CMAT exams.
Shortlisted applicants are required to create a 1-minute video introducing themselves, detailing their background, career aspirations, and more.
Candidates are also expected to submit a 300-word Statement of Purpose (SOP) and complete a Profile Details form.
Shortlisted students will undergo an Online Personal Interview conducted by a panel of 23 experts.
During the online interview, candidates are evaluated on their communication and social skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, understanding of business matters, and general aptitude.
Work experience is considered a significant factor in the selection process for the PGDM program.
Final selection is determined based on the performance in previous admission tests and academic achievements.

Eligibility Criteria for IMT Hyderabad FPM Program:

Applicants seeking admission to the FPM program at IMT Hyderabad should possess one of the following qualifications with a minimum of 60%:

A five-year integrated Masters degree in any discipline.
A postgraduate degree.
A Masters Degree or an equivalent degree in any discipline.
Any professional qualification, such as CS/CA/CMA.

Selection Criteria for IMT Hyderabad FPM Program:

Candidates interested in the FPM program at IMT Hyderabad are required to have a valid test score from either CAT, GRE, UGC NET, or GATE exams. Additionally, candidates must submit a research proposal comprising 5000 words within their chosen research area along with the application.

Candidates meeting the above qualifications are invited for a final interview as part of the selection process.
