IIM Ranchi Scholarships 2026

To support meritorious and financially disadvantaged students, IIM Ranchi offers multiple scholarship and financial aid options alongside government-sponsored schemes and PhD stipends.

1. Merit-cum-Means Scholarships

• IIM Ranchi provides 25 prestigious merit-cum-means scholarships annually for students enrolled in programmes such as MBA, MBA-HR, MBA-BA, and IPM.

• The total funding for these scholarships is approximately ₹1 crore per year, aimed at helping academically strong but economically challenged students pursue management education.

• Extra consideration is given to students from SC/ST categories and differently-abled (divyang) students.

2. Central Government Scholarships

Students may also be eligible for government-funded scholarships through central schemes, including:

• Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for Top Class Education for SC Students

• National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students

• Scholarships for Students with Disabilities

• Minority community scholarships and others linked to national initiatives
  
  These schemes provide tuition support, maintenance allowances, and other financial benefits based on eligibility.

3. PhD Stipends & Support

Doctoral candidates at IIM Ranchi receive:

• Full tuition fee waiver for the duration of the PhD programme

• Monthly stipends, which typically start around ₹30,000 for the first two years and increase thereafter

• On-campus accommodation support (including rent-free housing or subsidised options) for eligible students.

4. Additional Aid & Loans

• Students can also apply for education loans under government schemes such as the PM-Vidyalakshmi portal, which offers collateral-free and interest-subsidised loans.
