IIIT Surat is a very recent addition to the Indian Institutes of Information Technology group of institutions for higher education. Five of them are totally funded by the Government and the others are run on a public-private basis.

IIIT admission procedure includes admission through scores of JEE Main and Advanced and JoSAA counselling. IIIT admission dates vary according to the institute. On UG Level

On the undergraduate level, B.tech courses are provided by the institute in two streams, namely Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Candidates are selected on the basis of marks scored in JEE exams. Seat allocation is conducted by the JoSAA Counselling. The selection procedure and eligibility details are discussed in the table below:
