IBS Kolkata Admissions 2026 Dates
To apply for IBSAT 2025, start by registering and paying the Rs 1800 application fee. Next, take the IBSAT test or submit scores from CAT, NMAT by GMAC™, XAT, or GMAT™. Note that IBSAT is an online remote-proctored test. After the test, wait for the results announcement. If shortlisted, you will receive an invitation to the selection process at the IBS campus, which includes Micro Presentation and Personal Interview rounds. Finally, upon successful completion, you will receive admission confirmation and campus allocation.
The IBS Kolkata Admissions 2026 PGPM program happens through IBSAT. IBSAT is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and consists of multiple-choice questions. IBSAT is a two-hour exam designed to gauge a candidate’s proficiency in quantitative methods, data interpretation, data sufficiency, vocabulary, analytical thinking, and reading comprehension.

How to Apply for IBSAT 2025
The IBSAT 2025 application form is common for admission to the MBA/PGPM programs at IBS campuses in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Dehradun, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune, as well as for the PhD (full-time/part-time) program at IBS Hyderabad.
The IBSAT Bulletin can be obtained by paying ₹1,800 through any of the following modes:

Eligibility
2-Year Management Program (PGPM)

A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% or above marks, with English as the medium of instruction.

Minimum 15 years of education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern).

Candidates who did not study in English medium must submit a TOEFL / NELT / IELTS score by May 31, 2026.

Final-year students are also eligible to apply, provided they complete all graduation requirements (including practicals, viva, and assignments) by May 31, 2026.

Admission will be provisional until submission of mark sheets and degree certificates. The deadline for submitting proof of graduation is November 1, 2026.

Eligibility verification will begin from August 2026, and it is the responsibility of candidates to ensure they meet the criteria.
Admission Process
IBSAT 2025
IBSAT 2025 is an online aptitude test conducted by The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (a deemed-to-be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956) for admission into the MBA and PhD programs at IBS Bengaluru and IBS Hyderabad.
The test is computer-based (CBT), two hours in duration, and comprises multiple-choice questions. It evaluates candidates on quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning, and reading comprehension.
CAT / GMAT® / NMAT / XAT
In addition to IBSAT 2025, candidates may also apply with CAT, GMAT®, NMAT by GMAC™, or XAT scores (from 2023 onwards). Applicants with these scores are exempted from taking IBSAT.

IBS offers the following Programs :
- 2-year full time MBA program at IBS Hyderabad, IBS Dehradun, IBS Jaipur and IBS Bangalore (off campus of IFHE Hyderabad).
- 2-year full time PGPM (Postgraduate Program in Management) at 5 IBS campuses- Ahmedabad, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune
- 3-year Ph. D program (Full Time / For working executives) at IBS Hyderabad, IBS Bangalore.
For MBA & PGPM program
- Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks with medium of instruction as English. All applicants should have completed a minimum 15 years of education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4). For eligibility criterion, the aggregate percentage of marks secured in all the subjects of all the years shall be taken into account.
- Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2026.
- Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements (including practical examinations / viva / assignments) before May 31, 2026. The last date for submission of proof of graduation is November 01, 2026.
- The scrutiny of eligibility criteria will commence from August 2026 onwards. Hence, the onus of ensuring that they satisfy the eligibility criteria rests solely with the candidates. Any inaccurate information, misleading information or omission may result in withdrawal of admission offer and the fee paid by the candidate is non-refundable in such instances. The PhD Program (Full-Time / For Working Executives) at IBS requires candidates to meet specific academic and language criteria to ensure research readiness.

English Proficiency Requirement
Applicable only for candidates who did NOT study in English medium at the graduation or post-graduation level.
Such applicants must submit valid scores from any one of the following:
Score Submission Deadline: All English proficiency test scores must be submitted on or before May 31, 2026.
The candidates who wish to pursue MBA/PGPM program have to appear for IBSAT 2025 Test scheduled on December 27-28, 2025 or can apply with valid scores from 2023 onwards of GMAT™/CAT/ NMAT by GMAC™/ XAT. However, taking IBSAT 2025 will make them eligible for the ₹2 lakh scholarship. In both circumstances the candidates have to fill in the IBSAT 2025 application form to proceed further.
The candidates who wish to pursue Ph.D program shall apply through any one of the following channels:

Yes. IBSAT is conducted every year for admission to all programs of IBS. It is a 2hr Remote Proctored Computer Based Test which can be taken from home. IBSAT 2025 test is scheduled on December 27-28, 2025.
IBSAT is a Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of multiple-choice questions. The duration of the exam is two hours. The paper is divided into four sections Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation.
IBSAT paper has 140 questions in total which are multiple choice questions with no negative marking.

Yes, you have to apply upto December 19, 2025. However, you have provision to update your scores online on or before January 31, 2026. On updating of scores, a selection process call letter will be issued in the month of January 2026.

- In addition, students have to pay Rs.10,000 as refundable Caution Deposit with the first installment of Program Fee.
- The candidates selected for the MBA program of IBS Dehradun and IBS Jaipur who hail from the respective state will be awarded a fee concession of Rs.50,000/-. The fee concession will be given in five equal installments. The students have to produce a domicile certificate from the Tahsildar / MRO/ Municipality Office. The complete details will be given in the student handbook.
PhD Program Fee Structure
- IBS Hyderabad, IBS Bangalore (off campus of IFHE Hyderabad) are the constituents of IFHE (ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education), a Deemed–to-be- University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956.
- IBS Dehradun is a constituent of the ICFAI University, Dehradun. The ICFAI University, Dehradun is recognized by UGC under Section 2 (f) of the UGC Act.
- IBS Jaipur is a constituent of the ICFAI University, Jaipur. The ICFAI University, Jaipur has been notified by the Government of Rajasthan (Act No. 20 of 2011).
- IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai, IBS Pune are independent professional institutes offering PGPM. They are neither affiliated to nor are off-campus centers of any university.
The selection briefings are a series of focused seminars to provide the applicants an insight into the IBS Selection Process. During the briefings, faculty from IBS will answer applicants’ questions and advise them on preparing for the Selection Process. Applicants will be allotted the date and time of the session.
Selection Briefings will be conducted in the 2nd week of January 2026.
MBA / PGPM Program: Candidates qualified based on IBSAT 2025/ CAT/GMATTM/NMAT by GMACTM / XAT are called for the Selection process at IBS Hyderabad campus scheduled in the month of February, 2026. The final selection is based on performance in Micro Presentation, Personal Interview and the past academic performance (performance in Class X, XII and graduation)
Ph.D Program: Applicants who have applied through either the IBSAT 2025 Portal or the IFHE Portal are invited to participate in the Selection Process at the IBS Hyderabad campus, scheduled for April 2026.
The Ph.D Selection Process will comprise the following components:

Hostel facility is available at IBS Hyderabad and IBS Jaipur only.
The MBA program at IBS Hyderabad is a fully residential program. The students will be allotted non-A/c Single rooms with a common washroom facility. The accommodation and mess expenses have to be borne by the student..
At IBS Jaipur
Hostel facility is available at IBS Jaipur campus. The accommodation & mess charges have to be borne by the student.
Hostel facility is not available at other IBS campuses. However the campus administration will assist the students in getting a suitable off campus accommodation nearby the respective campus. The living expenses in these cities vary from Rs 10,000 – Rs 15,000 per month.
The candidates selected for IBS Programs avail educational loans from Public / Private Sector Banks.
