Government College of Engineering, Jalgaon (GCEJ), was established in the year 1996. It is one of the most prestigious government aided engineering colleges in the state of Maharashtra. The college is located in Jalgaon and affiliated to North Maharashtra University.

The yearly intake for the program is 60 per discipline. In addition to it, the college also offers M.Tech program in Electronics & Communication Engineering with 18 seats.

• Candidates applying for M.Tech. are selected through a common counselling process (CAP)
• B.Tech. candidates are selected on the basis of marks obtained in MHT CET, followed by a state-level  counselling  session
• GATE score is mandatory for admission to the M. Tech program.

Government College of Engineering, Jalgaon, offers B.Tech program in six disciplines and the basic eligibility criteria for admission to the course is passing 10+2 in science stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate in marks.

• Aspiring candidates can apply online through the MHT CET website before the last date.
• Payment of fees can be made online via credit card/ debit card, internet banking, IMPS, cash cards/ mobile wallets.
• Candidates who satisfy the MHT CET
• cut off must register themselves for the counselling process.

Allotment of seats is carried out through the Maharashtra state level engineering counselling process based on the candidates’ rank or marks obtained in MHT CET.

• For SC/ST students, there is no minimum percentile of marks for eligibility.
• No documents are required to be submitted at the stage of registration for CET.
• All candidates must appear for both Paper I (Mathematics) and Paper II (Physics & Chemistry).

Government College of Engineering, Jalgaon offers M. Tech degree program in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to this program is a BE/ B. Tech degree in the relevant or allied discipline with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates are further required to have a valid
GATE score in order to be eligible for admission.

• Selection is done on the basis of GATE score or marks obtained by the candidate in the last qualifying exam.
• All candidates are required to appear for CAP counselling conducted by DTE, Maharashtra

Candidates can apply only through the DTE website from the third week of July for admission to M.Tech programs. Payment of fees can be made only through online mode. Non-GATE applicants can apply for direct admission on the basis of marks obtained in the last qualifying exam.

For B. Tech. program:

• Candidates can register for B.Tech program by logging on to the MHT CET website
• Candidates must fill in all the relevant details and upload scanned copies of his/her passport size photograph and signature.
• Application fee of INR 800 must be paid only through the online payment gateway.
• Candidates must save and print the complete application form and payment acknowledgement slip for future reference.
• Candidate must download the admit card on the scheduled date.

For M. Tech programs:

• Applicants can visit the DTE website for online submission of application form.
• Payment of application fee can be made online through various payment sources.
• Candidates must submit relevant documents for the purpose of verification.
• All candidates must register for M.Tech CAP conducted by Maharashtra DTE.
