GITAM Institute of Management [GIM] Visakhapatnam Overview

Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, popularly known as GITAM was founded in 1980. It received the title of deemed-to-be-university in 2007 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. It is the first private engineering institute in Andhra Pradesh to receive university status.The main campus is located in Visakhapatnam and it has two other campuses at Hyderabad and Bengaluru, established in 2009 and 2012, respectively. It is an ISO-certified deemed university that has been accredited by NAAC with Grade ‘A +’ and approved by AICTE. GITAM University was ranked at 71^st position by NIRF-2020 Indian University Rankings.

GITAM Visakhapatnam campus is spread across 110 acres of lush greenery. Nestled in between the valley of Eastern Ghats and Bay of Bengal, the location is the most idyllic places in Andhra Pradesh.
