DoMS IIT Roorkee Admission Process:
For the admission process, students are selected to get a seat in the institution on the basis of their marks scored in common entrance exams or CAT, which is conducted by IIMs every year. The shortlisted students are further scrutinized in a PI round after which the final merit list is released.
The PI rounds are to be conducted tentatively during the month of March in Roorkee.
Applicants belonging to SC, ST, PD or OBC need to submit the requisite certificate from any competent authority on prescribed format by Govt. of India at the time of their personal interview round.
WHO CAN APPLY
- Graduates or a professional qualification equivalent to that of a University degree recognized by UGC, in any discipline with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD [Differently Abled]). The percentage will be considered on the basis of aggregate marks/CGPA (of all the years/semesters) awarded in qualifying degree examination.
- Final year students are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, provided they complete all requirements for the qualifying degree with minimum percentage and CGPA or its equivalent by the specified date.
- For PhD candidates, they must have a masters degree in any recognized university with a minimum of 60% aggregate.
JEE qualified IIT Graduates with CGPA 7 & above will be exempted from CAT and will be directly be called for PI.
