BIT Lalpur Scholarships 2025

BIT Lalpur, being an extension campus of BIT Mesra, offers several scholarship schemes to support students financially and academically.

1. Merit-Based Scholarships

• Eligibility: Awarded to students with excellent academic performance in their qualifying exams (e.g., 10+2 or graduation).

• Benefit: Up to 50% tuition fee waiver.

2. Category-Based Scholarships

• Eligibility: Reserved for students belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories.

• Benefit: Financial assistance ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹50,000 per year, based on category norms.

3. Need-Based Scholarships

• Eligibility: Based on the student’s family income and overall academic standing.

• Benefit: Partial or full tuition fee waivers, depending on documentation and approval.

4. Education Loan Support

• BIT Lalpur facilitates education loans through tie-ups with leading banks. Students can apply with institutional support for documentation.

BIT Mesra Scholarships Applicable to Lalpur Campus

As part of BIT Mesra, Lalpur campus students may also be eligible for central scholarships provided by the parent institute.

1. G.P. Birla Scholarship

• Offered to students with exceptional entrance test scores (e.g., JEE Main).

• May include tuition fee waivers, cash prizes, or stipends.

• Rank-based scholarships are awarded for high ranks in national entrance exams.

2. Merit-cum-Means (MCN) Scholarships

• Eligibility: Students from families with limited income (usually under ₹15 LPA) and a good academic record.

• Benefit: Tiered waiver structure:

  • 80% tuition waiver for CGPA above 8.5

  • 40% waiver for CGPA 7.3–8.4

  • 25% and 15% for CGPAs above 6.5

• Applicable from the second semester onward based on academic performance.

3. Staff-Ward & Compassionate Ground Scholarships

• Offered to wards of BIT employees or students facing extreme financial or personal hardships.

• Covers partial tuition and/or hostel fees.
