Bengal Institute of Business Studies (BIBS), Kolkata Overview

Bengal Institute of Business Studies is a private business school in Kolkata. Established in the year of 2008, this institute is one of the topmost business colleges in eastern India. Affiliated with Vidyasagar University, BIBS is a NAAC approved institution.

The college offers postgraduate courses in Management. The postgraduate courses are basically Post Graduate Diploma and Post Graduate Programme that come with four specializations. At postgraduate level, BIBS also offers Master of Business Administration or MBA programme. Additionally, it conducts an integrated type course.

The college has been ranked second-best in Kolkata and fifth-best in Eastern India for two the consecutive year 2018 and 2019, by the Times of India B-school. The institute also awarded Best Education Brand by the Economic Times in the year of 2019. The Crisil considered BIBS as an A++ graded business school in West Bengal.

Course Highlights

BIBS Kolkata Admission Process 

Being the second-best institute in Kolkata, Bengal Institute of Business Studies is determined to maintain its standard. It gives admission only to the deserving candidates, based on the merit. The candidates need to fulfil all the eligibility criteria to get admission in the courses.

• To get admission in any one of the postgraduate courses, the candidates need to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
• The eligible candidates need to have a valid CAT or XAT or MAT scorecard to get shortlisted.
• The applicants who don't have the above-mentioned scorecard need to sit in the BIBSAT.
• The final selection is done on the basis of the qualifying marks followed by an interview score.

BIBS Kolkata Results and Cutoff

To get admission in one of any postgraduate courses the applicants need to score above a certain cut off marks in some entrance examination, such as Common Admission Test or CAT, Management Aptitude Test or MAT and Xavier Aptitude Test or XAT. The candidates who didn't appear in the above-mentioned examinations need to seat for the BIBSAT examination. 

Year to year the cut off marks varies based on many factors. The factors, which control the cut off marks are the total number of seats available, the number of second rounds qualified test-takers, the difficulty level of the entrance examination, the total number of applicants, the total number of students appearing in the entrance examination and Institute ranking etc.

BIBS Kolkata Scholarship

Bengal Institute of Business Studies gives its students the most priority. The college looks after its students in every possible way, from giving placement opportunities to giving several types of scholarships to the needy students, BIBS does it all.

The students who have enough merit but can not continue their studies due to financial disabilities are given financial aids in the form of scholarships and tuition fee waivers. The scholarships are given on merit cum means basis to the students who have a really good academic record and whose family income is below a certain limit. The SC, ST and OBC candidates also get special financial aids.
