Bangalore University Scholarship

Bangalore University offers scholarship schemes to boost the morale of the students and also it serves as financial aid for students belonging to the underprivileged family background.

The University has different programmes and plans under the scholarship programs. To get relevant information regarding the scholarship chart of Bangalore University, students can check their official websites. 

Scholarship 1: The Government India Post Matric Scholarship are provided to the students belonging to SC/ST categories. The eligibility for this scholarship program depends on two criteria; first, the students must be from the state of Karnataka, and secondly, the annual income of their parents must not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/- annually. 

Scholarship 2: Encouragement Fund/ Fees reimbursement from Minorities Welfare Department are granted to the students belonging to the minority community (Muslims, Christian, Parsees, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs, etc.).

The eligibility for this scholarship scheme is determined by the annual income of their parents, which must not exceed Rs. 44,500/- annually. 

Scholarship 3: Government of India National Merit Scholarships are given to the students who have secured top rank in the University. This scholarship program is administered by the Directorate of Collegiate Education. 

Scholarship 4: Special Scholarships for Children of Government Employees/University Employees are offered to the students of University or Government Employees who die in harness. This scholarship scheme is administered by the Directorate of Collegiate Education or the University as the case may be. 

Scholarship 5: Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship of University Grants Commission (UGC) is given the single girl child or twin daughters of the family. This scholarship program is administered by UGC, and one can log on to the website to get detailed information. 

Scholarship 6: Hon’ble Vice Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship are offered to the meritorious students who secure a rank from 1st-5th. The eligibility of the scholarship schemes depends upon the criteria that the students must belong to the BPL group from the state of Karnataka.

An amount of Rs.500/- for ten months will be given to students every year.  The above-mentioned scholarship schemes can only be availed by the students of Bangalore University in case they have not applied for any financial benefit programs.

The students who are availing free university hostel are not eligible for any scholarships or freebies. Students can now select between either of the two depending upon the one which is more beneficial for them.
