Admissions to the undergraduate level BPA and BFA courses at Andhra University is provided on the basis of marks obtained in the AUCET examination. While admission to the B.Ed. course at the undergraduate level is given based on marks obtained in the Education Common Entrance Test.
The university considers NATA exam scores for admission to the undergraduate level B.Arch program. In the case of LLB courses, the university considers AP LAWCET exam scores. Andhra University results are sometimes expressed as cut-off and for the law courses that is declared after AP LAWCET scores are released for the year.
Students seeking admission to the Postgraduate level MBA and MCA programs are shortlisted based on the marks scored in the APICET examination. Besides, admission to the integrated B.Tech.+M.Tech. and other B.Tech. programs are done on the basis of AUEET marks.
Alongside, it considers AURCET scores for research courses. In order to secure admission to the doctoral level PhD and M.Phil courses, candidates are required to appear for the AURCET examination followed by a selection process.
Andhra University follows reservation norms as per the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The university reserves 85% of seats for local candidates, 33.33% of the total seats available for women candidates, 15% seats for SC candidates, 6% seats for ST candidates and 29% seats for Listed Backward Classes.
