Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Amritapuri Scholarships

1. University-Level Scholarships

  • Chancellor’s Scholarship

    Awarded to top-performing students who score 80% or above in qualifying exams. Covers 100% of tuition fees.

  • Meritorious Scholarship

    For students scoring between 70% and 79%. Offers a 50% tuition fee waiver.

These scholarships are renewable annually based on academic performance and conduct. They are not applicable for some health science programs like Nursing, Pharmacy, and Allied Health Sciences.

2. Engineering Scholarships (Amrita School of Engineering – Amritapuri)

  • Merit-based Scholarships are available for B.Tech students, based on AEEE/JEE rank.

  • Tuition fee waivers range from 25% to 90%, depending on entrance rank and academic performance.

  • Scholarships are automatically considered during the admission process.

  • Female students are offered additional benefits under specific scholarship schemes.

  • Continuation of scholarships in later years requires maintaining a prescribed CGPA.

3. M.Tech Scholarships

  • GATE-qualified students receive a monthly stipend as per government norms (approximately ₹12,400 per month).

  • Non-GATE students are eligible for:

    • Endowment Scholarships – up to ₹1 lakh for the top 40% in select branches.

    • Merit Scholarships – up to ₹1 lakh for top 30% in specialised fields like AI, Cybersecurity, Robotics, etc.

4. Women-Centric Scholarships

  • Special tuition fee waivers (ranging from 25% to 90%) are awarded to the top-ranking female students in UG and PG programs.

  • These are provided as part of the university’s women empowerment initiatives and are based on AEEE or qualifying exam ranks.

  • Around 300 such scholarships are awarded every year during admissions.

5. External & State-Level Financial Aid

  • Students from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC), economically weaker sections, and minorities can apply for:

    • Government scholarships

    • Community-specific or merit-based fee waivers

  • Documents such as income certificate, caste certificate, and academic records are typically required.
