This is my first article. I don’t know why i am writing the same, either to prepare for my WAT or to bring out my inner frustration.

When one is a kid, it is difficult to understand the importance of studies in future. Our parents keep on telling us to be more focused on studies rather than other activities. But thanks to the genetic factor, that we are stubborn. We do what we feel is good at that moment, unwittingly ignoring the future.

The result, ask any CAT applicant who deals with the average academic result. It’s a burden that one carries through eternity, regretting all the time .

When one applies at any good B-school, he/she thinks that “Yes. This is the time to bring change in my life. I want a successfull career in my life and this institute will give me that.”

But then, the Bschool rejects the application on the basis of less than high academic score.

The question is “Who is to be blame”?? Our childhood that impelled us to play more rather than studies , our parents who could have been more strict with us or our teenagehood that brought emotions in our young hearts.

A person joins IIM’s to bring change in his life; to find an effective way to contribute ideas to the world. Unselecting a candidate on the basis of less than high score does guarantee that the candidate does not fit for the B-school.There are lots of other factors that contribute, but the initial stage of selecting candidates comprises of SSC and HSC score.

There is atleast a difference of 3 years between graduation degree and HSC. Lots of things could have changed in this time,a person could have become more wise in his life. Done a lot of better things.

Do the IIM’s have the wisdom to see that??

Can they give applicants the opportunity to get rid of the average academic curse……???

Who is to be BLAME??
