VIHAAN’16 the inter college B fest of BIMTECH was held on October 24 and 25,2016. Following the theme, “BE THE CHANGE”, the fest comprised of 21 events having a mix of cultural, management and creative events.
Vihaan saw participation from different B schools all across India like ISB Hyderabad, IMI, MDI Gurgaon, IITRoorkee, BITS Pilani, FORE, LBSIM, Welingkar Mumbai, SIBM Pune, Great Lakes Gurgaon, to name a few. BIMTECH also witnessed great performances from the colleges of Delhi University like DSM DTu, Dayal Singh, Maitreyi, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, among many others.
Percussionist Darpan Dua and DJ Dheeraj produced the perfect mix of Punjabi and Bollywood music, making people groove. DJ Candice Redding who performed on 25 October is the first international artist to perform in BIMTECH. The EDM music entranced the audience and marked a perfect end to a great event.
Team Vihaan also used an innovative way to raise funds for the event through auctioning of stalls to BIMTECH students which offered varied cuisines to the audience. This also helped the students to learn the basics of running a business.
Planning and preparations for the event started three months ago with the first meeting in September. All clubs and conduits came together to form the core and organizing teams for the event. Teams were formed for each aspect of the event- public relations team, promotions team, hospitality team and the most important sponsorship team. Prizes worth Rs. 2,00,000 were announced and given to the winners.
The event received immense support from the management, faculty, staff and most importantly the students in making Vihaan’16 a huge success.
