The official notification related to the online applications of the Uttar Pradesh (UP) Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) 2019 has finally released online through its official website.

The official notification for the eligibility test was expected to be released on October 9, 2019.  However, the release date for the official notification was postponed by the examination regulatory authority.

The online applications for the recruitment will commence from November 1, 2019.  Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website once the registration process begins.

The last date for the UP TET 2019 online registrations is November 20, 2019. The eligibility test is scheduled to be conducted on December 22, 2019.

Once the online registrations for the Uttar Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) 2019 are closed, candidates will be able to print the completed application form online from Official Website upbasiceduboard.gov.in from  November 22, 2019.

Also, the examination regulatory authorities have decided to increase the application fee for the UP Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) 2019 by Rs 100.

According to the recent changes, general and OBC category candidates should pay Rs. 600 as the application fee, while the SC/ ST candidates will pay an application fee of Rs. 400 this year, prior to this the application fee for SC/ ST candidates was Rs. 300, and for the general and OBC candidates, it was Rs. 500.

The candidates qualifying the eligibility test will be appointed as Teachers for Primary and Upper Primary level students across various schools in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Several aspirants have been waiting for the official notification about the test this year. The admit cards for the examination are expected to be released around 10 days before the examination date.

UP TET 2019: Exam pattern

The Uttar Pradesh (UP) Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) 2019 written examination will be conducted in two parts, i.e., Paper-I and Paper-II. The first paper (Paper-I) is for the candidates seeking teaching jobs for classes 1-5 and the second paper (Paper-II) is for the candidates aspiring teaching jobs for the classes 6-8.

Candidates will have a total of two and half hours to complete the written examination. A total of 150 multiple choice questions will be asked.

The written examination accounts for a total of 150 marks, and there will be no negative marking for the wrong answers.

To qualify the examination, candidates should manage to score at least 60% marks. The scores of the UP Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) examination will be valid for five years.

  • The candidate should be at least 18 years of age.
  • The maximum age limit for the eligibility test is 35 years.

Educational qualification

  • The candidate should have completed graduation with an aggregate of at least 50% from a recognized University along with a B. Ed. degree.
