SNAP 2019 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Notification for SNAP 2019 is already out, and candidates are rushing to fill out their application forms. To get selected for this prestigious institute, candidates have to fulfill pre-exam and post-exam eligibility criteria.

Pre-exam as the name suggests is related to age, marks obtained in graduation etc. whereas post-exam eligibility is about cut-offs released by SNAP and other associated colleges.

The eligibility criteria for SNAP 2019 are different for the different categories of reservation prescribed by the Government of India.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Every aspiring candidate of SNAP 2019 – 20 should be a graduate. Final year students can apply and should submit their degree completion certificate during the admission process.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR GENERAL MERIT CANDIDATES

Aspiring candidates for SNAP 2019 belonging to the general merit category are required to obtain 50% marks or its equivalent grade to be eligible to apply for SNAP 2019

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR SC/ST CANDIDATES

Aspiring candidates for SNAP 2019 belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category are required to obtain 45% marks or its equivalent grade to be eligible to apply for SNAP 2019.

The candidate should produce suitable legal caste and income certificate.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR INTERNATIONAL CANDIDATES

International candidates must hold an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR SNAP 2019

Some requirements are the same irrespective of the class of reservation:

  • The Government of India should recognise the graduating university of the candidate
  • No age bar
  • Foreign Nationals can also apply to SNAP 2019, providing that they clear the eligibility criteria set for foreign candidates.

RESERVATION POLICY FOR SNAP 2019

 SIU follows the government of India’s set rules and has seats reserved for various categories of reservation. The reservation policy of SNAP 2019 is as follows.

Scheduled Tribes (ST) 7.5%
Scheduled Caste (SC) 15%
Children/wards of Defence Personnel 5%
Differently Abled 3%

INDIVIDUAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR DIFFERENT INSTITUTIONS UNDER SIU

Institution Programme Eligibility Criteria
SSBF Master of Business Administration (Banking and Finance)

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from any recognised institution nationally with a minimum of 50% marks or its equivalent grade for general candidates.

 

SC or ST candidates must have a minimum of 45% marks at the graduation level.

 

If a candidate is a foreign national, he/she must obtain the equivalence certificate from AIU (Association of Indian universities).

Final year students can also apply for SNAP 2019. However, their admission is considered provisional until they can produce documents to verify their eligibility.

SCIT Master of Business Administration (Data Sciences & Data Analytics)

Graduation in mathematics at +2 levels is a must for the student from recognized universities or statutory university.

SIOM – Nashik Master of Business Administration (Operations Management)

Aspiring candidates must be a graduate from any recognised university nationally with a specialization in Technology. The qualification requirement is the standard requirement for SIU.
