The first prizes were bagged in two categories, Hindustan Lever Ltd’s Fair and Lovely Brand and Cavinkare’s Chik Shampoo. The research for the respective case studies was carried out across two months and amongst hundreds of respondents as per the requirement in the respective cases.

The contest was organised in two phases. The first phase was shortlisting of top ten teams in each category on the basis of a research proposal for the Live cases. In the second phase the ten top teams from across the country did the research and based on their analysis suggested strategies.

The event saw fierce competition from the partcipating schools namely, IIMA, IIML, XLRI, NITIE, IIFT, FMS and SCMHRD. The evaluation of the case analysis was done by the respective companies Hindustan Lever Ltd(HLL) and Cavinkare.

The “Chik” Shampoo Live case study involved devising an urban strategy for the Shampoo while the “Fair and Lovely” live case study involved suggesting strategy to increase consumption of the fairness cream in urban and rural markets.

Both the winning groups comprised five members each, all of whom are students majoring in Marketing. The teams comprised the following members:-
