SBI Clerk (Junior Associates) exam will be conducted by State Bank of India to select the candidate for clerical cadre in its various branches across the country. The Junior Associates are responsible for all the client operations and interactions. SBI is the largest recruiter of the interested candidates for the clerical cadre jobs.

The SBI Clerk preliminary examination was conducted on June 23, 24 and 30th of 2018. The results for the Prelims exam was published on July 24, 2018. The candidates who were able to clear the cutoff were selected to appear for the SBI Mains examination. The cutoffs for Prelims and Mains exam were announced by the SBI separately. The cutoffs will vary each year. It will be fixed by the exam conducting organization i.e. SBI. Cut off is the minimum marks required for the candidates to qualify for the next rounds of an examination. It will depend on the following factors:

  • Number of candidates appearing for the exam
  • Number of seats available the respective year
  • The difficulty level of the examination
  • Previous year cutoff trends etc.

The vacancies for 2018 were less than the previous year. This lead to an increase in the cutoffs when compared to the previous year. The candidates who had successfully cleared the prelims exam were allowed to attempt the Mains exam. The SBI Clerk Mains exam was conducted on August 05, 2018. SBI Clerk Mains Exam Pattern:

The final merit list for 2018 will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates who have taken the Mains examination. The merit list will be available both Category and State wise on the official website of the SBI.

The candidates who cleared the mains exam cutoff will be selected for Language test which will be the final process in SBI and then the selected candidates will be recruited by the State Bank of India. Since there will be no Interview Process from this year, the Mains exam and the Language test will be the final round for recruiting the candidates for SBI.
