About two lakh candidates took the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Grade B Phase I exam today, June 17,2017. Though candidates said that today’s paper was difficult, PaGaLGuY spoke to Ex-RBI Manager, Susheel Ragade, to get his analysis on RBI Grade B 2017 Phase-1 exam. Ragade said, ”Compared to previous years’ RBI Grade B Phase I exams, today’s paper was difficult. It was set according to the recent pattern, wherein a candidate needs to score 60+ in General Awareness (GA) and has to clear the cut-off for Mathematics.”

He continued, “Reasoning Ability(RA) was comparatively lengthy and Quantitative Aptitude (QA) was also quiet tricky. RBI exams conducted in the year 2012 had a similar pattern of questions.”

While discussing about the difficulty level of this year’s RBI Grade B Phase I paper, Ragade said, “One of my candidate who appeared for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) 2016 secured an All India Rank in the top 10, and even he was only able to attempt 7 out of 30 questions in QA section.”

According to Ragade, GA will help candidates clear the exam as it carries maximum weightage of all 80 marks, though even sectional cut-off is considered.

PaGaLGuY wishes you All the Best for your results!!!
