The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra will release the final merit list for admission to state engineering colleges tomorrow, June 22, 2016. Following that, the process of choice filling of colleges will commence. The DTE has already released a provisional merit list on Sunday, June 19, so as to give a fair idea to students as to which college they stand a chance to gain admission in.

Students have been warned by DTE and their respective junior colleges and coaching institutes to fill out their preferences sparingly. Aditya Harnani, a student from Mumbai says, “The provisional merit list has been released so that we can spend these 2 days making a list of colleges that we are eligible to get admission into. DTE has also released the college cut-offs for the academic year 2015-2016. The PDF contains the first allocation round cut-offs, category wise, for every state college in Maharashtra

After the 2016 merit list is released, students will have four days until June 26, to fill out their choices in the admission form. Along with the merit list, the seat matrix of different colleges will also be provided to give aspirants a better idea for choice filling. The list for the first round of Centralised Admission Process (CAP) will be released on June 27.
