Maharashtra TET January 2020 Exam Schedule

The schedule for the TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) has been finally released by the State Education Department. The exam will be held in January 2020 after a gap of two years. The schedule was announced by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination and the exam is scheduled on January 2019. Both the papers I and II will be conducted on the same day and the last date to apply for the MTET 2019 exam is 28th November 2019.

The TET exam was made mandatory from 2013 according to the Right to Education Act. The Maharashtra State Council of Examination has introduced a few changes in the exam pattern this year. The teachers teaching for classes 1 to 8 will have to write the exam for both papers and can appear for specific subjects of degree specialization only.

As per the RTE Act, the state government introduced the TET exam and made it compulsory for teachers, in order to continue the service. After 15h July 2018, no test was conducted.

The paper I will be from 10.30 AM to 1 PM and Paper II will be from 2 PM to 4.30 PM. The details of the exam will be made available on the council website www.mahatet.in.

The exam council stated that the candidates will get the online admit card or hall ticket between 4th January 2020 and 19th January 2020.
