Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is the examination board in the state of Maharashtra that not only looks into the education of the children in the state but is also tasked with the responsibility of conducting the board examination of class 10 and 12 students on an annual basis.
Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education conducts two exams –the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam and the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exam. All the details with regard to these exams, from the syllabus to timetable, are decided by the Maharashtra Board. The board has recently announced a certain change in the examination pattern and marking schemes which are of extreme importance for students’ preparations.
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has released the timetable for both SSC and HSC exams that are scheduled to be held in 2020. The timetable for these examinations features the date of examination along with the subject to be held on that date.

With the release of the timetable, students will be able to make their study plan accordingly. This will allow students to continue their preparation process according to the exam dates. They can now have a clear idea as to when should their syllabus be complete and how much time should they dedicate to every subject.
The timetable for both SSC and HSC exams can be downloaded from the official website of the Maharashtra Board. In order to download the time table, candidates can follow a few simple steps –
- Step-1 : Visit the official website of Maharashtra Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, which is http://www.mahahsscboard.in/ Students can use this direct link to visit the homepage of Maharashtra Board’s official website.
- Step-2 : Look for the latest notifications on the homepage of the Board.
- Step-3 : If you are a student for the SSC examination, click on the link that reads, “SSC Feb/March 2020 Timetable”
If you are a student for the HSC examination, click on the link that reads, “HSC Feb/March 2020 Timetable”
- Step-4 : The Timetable will be downloaded automatically in the computer upon clicking the link.
- Step-5 : Save the timetable, and a printout can also be taken for a hardcopy.
As per the timetable, the exam for SSC will start on 3rd March and continue till 23rd March, 2020. With regard to the HSC exam, the examination will begin on 18th February and end by 18th March, 2020. Students of SSC exam will also have to go through internal assessments according to the revised exam pattern. The dates for these oral tests and other practical examinations will be informed to the school some time before the exam.
The board have also given an opportunity of 15 days to anyone who would want to raise an objection about the examination schedule. According to the Times of India, nearly 17 lakh students appear for the Maharashtra SSC exam, and nearly 13 lakh students appear for the HSC exam.
