Karnataka’s Pre-University Examination Department works under the Department of Primary and Secondary Education and is entrusted with the task of facilitating and implementing higher secondary education in the state of Karnataka.

Students, after passing their class 10 board exams, register themselves for the 2nd PUC examination. The Karnataka Board’s department of PUE (Pre-University Examination) has now released a provisional time table for the 2nd PUC March 2020 examinations.

This timetable, as mentioned, is provisional and not final. The final one will be released soon, and everyone shall be notified of the same.

The official notification was released on the official website of Karnataka PUE which is www.pue.kar.nic.in. The notification mentions the publication of the provisional time table and also opens up the possibility of raising objections to the mentioned time table.

The students may raise their objections and send them to the board until before the 31st of October, 2019. Any objections raised after 31st October shall not be accepted. The objection has to be addressed to the Joint Director (Exam).

The final time table will be published after taking the objections received within the mentioned date into account.

Exam Dates Between 4th March 2020 to 19th March 2020

According to the provisional table published by the Karnataka Board for the 2nd PUC March 2020 examination, the exams will begin on the 4th of March 2020 and will end on the 19th of March 2020 with the specific dates being 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th,16th, 17th, 18th and finally 19th of March 2020.

The subjects for which the Department of PUE will conduct the examinations include- History, Physics, Maths, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Arabic, French, Sanskrit, Urdu, Geology, Education, Home Science and a few others. Optional subjects include Kannada and Accountancy while the NSQF subjects Information Technology, Retail, Healthcare, Wellness, etc.

There are a number of other subjects under the 2nd PUC examination which include- Political Science, Statistics, Business Studies, Sociology, Psychology, Chemistry, Economics, Computer Science, etc. The PUE curriculum has as many as 23 subjects, 11 languages and 50 combinations.

In the previous year, the 2nd PUC exam time table was published on the 18th of December while the examinations were held between the 1st of March and the 18th of March.

This year, with the publication of the 2nd PUC time table, there are high chances of the SSLC exam timetable being published very soon.

In order to download the provisional time table, students may log on to the official website www.pue.kar.nic.in and look for a link that reads ‘Examination’.

After clicking on it, a page will appear with a list of links from which you have to click on the link for the 2nd PUC examination. The time table will then appear, and you are advised to save it as well as get it printed.
