The JEE 2015 Seat
Allocation process for the IIITs (Indian Institute of Information Technology)
is finally over and the IIITs are scheduled to begin their academic year in the
month of August. So, let us now take a look at the cutoffs/closing ranks in
2015 for the different IIITs. This series of articles will help you understand
the cutoffs/closing ranks for selection to each of the various branches in the
different IIITs in 2015. This will also give you some idea about the expected
cutoffs/closing ranks for admission to the different IIITs in 2016.

Candidates were
finally selected to the IIITs on the basis of their performance in the JEE Main
2015 and their performance in the Class XII exam. This was also the first time
that the IIITs were a part of the Joint Seat Allocation Process that involved
other reputed institutions like the IITs, ISM Dhanbad, NITs and other GFTIs
(Government Funded Technical Institutes).

At present, IIIT
Una (Saloh) is functioning from its temporary premises at NIT Hamirpur. The
permanent campus is coming up in the District of Una in Himachal Pradesh. It is
a part of the PPP (Public Private Partnership) project. The partners setting up
IIIT Una (Saloh) are the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India,
the Govt. of Himachal Pardesh, HP Power Corporation Limited and HP Transmission
Corporation Limited. At the undergraduate level (B. E. / B. Tech.), this
college offers 30 seats each 2 disciplines. Selections to these seats are done
on the basis of a student’s All India Rank in the JEE Main 2015.
