The placement season at IMI, this year will start in good spirits thanks to students who have performed well during their summer internships and achieved the highly coveted pre-placement offers. With the number of the offers this year reaching higher, the morale of the student body is very high and there is a wave of positivity rippling through the campus with everyone aspiring to catch hold of their dream job soon.

The curriculum of the course at IMI has also been revisited and made more suitable to industry requirements. For the PGDM-HR programme, a new initiative called ‘block-field’ has been introduced to allow students to work with an organisation for a period of 5 weeks and participate in projects with them to understand industry work practices and issues.

Also IMI has been awarded the ‘Best Curriculum’ award by ‘Amar Ujala’ B-school Excellence awards and the ‘B-school with best industry related curriculum in HRM’ in recent rankings. AIMA (All India Management Association) has ranked it in the ‘Super League’ b-schools at a stretch consecutively for past two years and is ranked third in intellectual capital by ‘Business World.’ According to the recent ‘Outlook’ survey, IMI has been ranked 2nd in Personality and Leadership development and 6th in Academic excellence.

Recently, IMI joined the league of business schools having the coveted ‘AMBA’ (Association of MBA’s) accreditation and became one of five business schools in India to have received this prestigious honour, which corroborates the fact that it has standards matching the global level. The institute proudly speaks of its students who have managed to bag pre-placement offers from some of the premier companies and many more pre-placement interviews lined up these figures are bound to go further up very soon.

Another story of brilliance is that one of the students of IMI has dazzled his way through while working along with interns from other top tier b- schools including IIMs by bagging the best intern award (Arjuna Award) at one of the leading Indian conglomerates and thus walking away with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and a pre-placement offer in double digits.

This year so far industry majors in their respective sectors varying from Banking, Consulting, and Manufacturing to IT and Media have visited the campus and offered internships with profile ranging in specialisations in the area of Finance, Marketing and Sales, Consulting, Strategy, HR, Information Management, and Operations.
