The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) is all set to host The Red Brick Summit, its biggest management symposium to date from September 29 to October 2 2017. Under its aegis, the summit brings together four festivals of the institute – Confluence, Insight and Amaethon and Connexions. With eight conclaves, 14 workshops, 15 speaker sessions and 20 events, the event is expected to become the largest management symposium in India in its first edition itself.

The eight conclaves of the festival range from Marketing, Finance, Business Policy and Economics to Media and Entertainment, Arts and Social, and Food and Agriculture Business. Each conclave is associated with an industry leader ranging from its title partner, Tata Trusts to Uber, Motilal Oswal, European Union, Business World, ONGC and Central Bank of India.

These conclaves will be conducted in the form of case competitions, panel discussions, workshops, and sessions by eminent speakers. The keynote speaker at the event is Smriti Irani, the Union Cabinet Minister of Textiles and Information & Broadcasting. Dr Hasmukh Adhia, Revenue Secretary and creator of the GST framework, Dr. A. S. Kiran Kumar, ISRO Chairman, Deep Kalra, IIMA alumnus and Make My Trip Founder, Deep Thomas, CEO Tata Analytics and Sagarika Ghose, renowned journalist and news anchor are all slated to speak at the event.

However, it is the workshops which remain the highlight of the fest. The summit recently launched its 14 workshops which have been planned in collaboration with industry stalwarts and top executives from companies like PepsiCo, Amazon, NCDEX, and Uber to name a few. The highly relevant ‘Pick A Stock’ workshop is being organised in association with domain experts from Motilal Oswal. The summit also aims to provide students with the opportunity to discover more about the startup world through the eyes of successful entrepreneurs and gain hard skills by working shoulder to shoulder with the biggest names in marketing and social entrepreneurship fields. Keeping this in mind, the Summit includes workshops such as The Art of Creating Successful Brands by Ogilvy & Mather, and Product Management in collaboration with Uber. IIMA’s very own Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) which has helped establish many successful ventures will be conducting a workshop on Design Thinking.

The Summit has already begun its registrations, the details of which can be found on http://iima-trbs.in.
