The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Rohtak completed its summer placements by by securing summer internships for all its 49 students across 28 companies. Being a new IIM, this was the first ever summer internship process for the Haryana-based school.

Majority of the internships were offered in the sales and marketing or finance profiles. Two students managed internships in auditing firms PricewaterHouse Coopers and Ernst & Young.

Both Standard Chartered and Hindustan Petroleum offered finance profiles to 7 students each, becoming the largest summer recruiters. Both ICICI Bank and Business Standard made 3 offers each.

61% of the batch has been recruited by just 9 companies. The remaining 19 students are the sole interns recruited from IIM Rohtak in their respective companies.

Profiles were offered in corporate communications, corporate strategy, market research, advertising & brand management, internet marketing, IT consulting, Mergers & Acquisitions and project finance apart from conventional profiles of marketing, sales, corporate finance and retail banking.

Finance: Standard Chartered, ICICI Bank, ICICI Lombard, IL&FS;, SBI Caps, HPCL.

Marketing & Sales: General Motors, Maruti Suzuki, UB Group, Airtel, Idea, Reliance Communications, HCL, JSW-Ispat, IOCL, Nitco Tiles.

FMCG: Kraft Foods (Cadbury), Reckitt Benckiser.

Consulting: Ernst& Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, IFCI.

Media: Business Standard, draftFCB Ulka.

Others: Aegis Global, Tata Power, Neemrana Hotels.
