Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI) rounds of all MBA institutes in India have already begun and consequently students have blocked their calendars for the next two months.These rounds are extremely crucial in the race to make it to the best MBA colleges in the country. However, what is one supposed to do if the interview dates of two of the most sought after MBA institutes in India coincide with one another.
MBA aspirants who have received a call from both, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) and Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L) are very disappointed as their interiew dates are coinciding with one another. But what’s worse is that despite several mails to the latter, the admission cell hasn’t reverted with a response.
Speaking about the issue, MBA aspirant, Praveen Kumar said, “IIM Ahmedabad released it’s list of shortlisted candidates first. I’m one of those students who has both the interviews on the same day. I sent a mail to IIM-L’s admission office and even called them up several times. All they asked me to do was wait but no official statement has been sent regarding a possible rescheduling.”
Another aspirant, Divya Goyal, had a similar issue.”My IIM-L interview date coincides with IIM-A. I have mailed the admissions team twice for rescheduling but got no reply. I tried calling and was told to wait for the reply of the mail. It’s been approximately 15 days since my last mail,” she said. Other MBA aspirants, Vivek Baghora and Rutuj Sawakhande also have the same complaint.
When PaGaLGuY tried to get in touch with Prof Neeraj Dwivedi of IIM-L who is in charge of the college’s admission process, he was unavailable for comment.
