The Vast Syllabus
The syllabus for the exam is vast. There are more than 100 chapters that a student needs to cover before the exam. Although most of these chapters come from the syllabus that the students have studied in their high school. However, the most difficult aspect of the exam is to retain all of what you have studied.
When you decide to prepare for VIT’s entrance exam, make sure you allot time according to your capacities. You need to make sure that you spend time on the subjects that you are not strong with and as well as with the subjects that you are confident about as well.
Subject-centric study plans
When you prepare for the exam, you need to make sure that you understand what you are doing. Every subject is different, and you will need a different strategy to tackle these. However, the best way to master any of your subjects and to make sure that you understand the subject is to go through the basics and the concepts before preparations.
Understand that basics make up for the entire subject and you need to make sure that you are clear on your concepts beforehand.
No Negative Marking
Bear in mind that the exam does not deduct marks for any wrong answers. The reason why this is important to remember when you prepare for your exams is that it will help you to relax. You will not have to worry about every wrong question, and you will find a sense of peace. Make sure that you remember that even when you answer the questions on your exam.
Choose the right books
The problem with preparations by students is that they choose to study just about anything. Furthermore, the concept of studying from notes is in high trend. However, you should remember that not all notes summarize the chapters properly. You should invest some time and money into finding the correct kind of books. Research well and understand which books will work for you.
Know the exam pattern
You should have an idea about the exam pattern before you dive into preparations. The point is that preparations need to be done according to the paper’s pattern. English only has 5 questions, so you should simply have a look at what was previously asked and base your preparations according to that.
However, for the other subjects, you will need to understand what kind of concepts you need to fix and the topics that require work. Since each subject will come with 40 dedicated questions, you should decide how to manage your time well.
You will need to exercise your mind and body before the exam. Physical exercises will allow you to feel happy and refreshed, which will only add to your studies. Furthermore, following up on your studies with various problems and questions will allow you to test your knowledge and understanding of the subject.
Apart from this make sure that you keep revising your material properly. Students skip on revision, and that is one of the biggest mistakes anyone can make. Revision helps you retain your studied material properly and allows you to answer the questions in the exam properly.
Furthermore, make sure that you carry your admit card and other documents into the exam hall. Also, make sure that you read the instructions properly before you begin answering the questions.
