SP Jain School of Global Management (SP Jain Global) is teaming up with the Grameen Foundation for Social Impact (GFSI) to present the TerraTech Challenge 2024, a pioneering National-Level Hackathon. Set to run from January to March 2024, this event will unite bright minds nationwide to tackle crucial financial inclusion issues using advanced technology.

 

Mumbai, 09 January 2024: SP Jain School of Global Management (SP Jain Global) is thrilled to announce its collaboration with the Grameen Foundation for Social Impact (GFSI), to host the TerraTech Challenge 2024 – a groundbreaking National-Level Hackathon. Scheduled to take place between January and March 2024, this event is poised to bring together some of the brightest minds from across the nation to address critical issues in the realm of financial inclusion through cutting-edge technology.

The TerraTech Challenge 2024 Hackathon will be divided into four zones, culminating in a national-level competition. The Western India leg of the event will be hosted at the SP Jain Global campus in Mumbai and will feature two days of intense sessions, expected to draw participants from both students and startups. Esteemed institutions such as IIM Lucknow, IIT Kharagpur, and IIIT Bangalore will host hackathons in the North, East, and South zones, respectively.

Registration for the Western India region will be open from January 5 to January 12, 2024. The registration process includes an online call for concept submissions, setting the stage for the subsequent on-site competition. The eagerly awaited final stage of the Western Zone challenge is set to take place on February 8 and 9, 2024 where three exceptional winners will be carefully selected. Additionally, every participant will receive a ‘certificate of participation’. 

The national-level winning team will receive a two-year contract to develop the idea with Grameen Foundation for Social Impact (GFSI) under GFSI’s Scaling initiative, highlighting their commitment to supporting innovative solutions addressing global challenges. Additionally, participants who secure the 2nd to 4th positions will enjoy the exclusive advantage of premium mentorships offered by their respective academic partners. This event represents a significant stride in nurturing the next generation of changemakers and technology-driven solutions for a brighter future.
