    A government of Goa considers education as the foundation for human development & a source of cultivation of traits for responsible citizenship.     Goa TET 2018-19 Notification: The Government of Goa conducts the Goa TET exam every year to recruit candidates on teaching posts. There are thousands of candidates, who prepare for the Goa TET exam every year. The Goa TET exam is mandatory for all candidates, who want to be a government teacher in Goa state schools. This preliminary exam is considered as a minimum qualification for a person to be eligible for teaching post after passing their graduation (B.Ed.). Through the Goa TET exam, you will be teaching for the classes 1-8.

    However, the Goa TET does not offer or guarantee any job in the state schools just after qualifying it. Hence, to grab a government teacher job, you need to first qualify the Goa TET exam then you will get the qualifying certificate. With this Goa TET certificate, you are considered for attending the teaching interviews as per the notification. This certificate will be valid for the next 5 years. It means that once you have qualified the Goa TET exam then there is no need to appear in this exam again for the next 5 years.     • This exam will make the performance of candidates and institutions more agile and competent.

    Goa TET 2018-19 Application Form

    The application for the Goa TET will be accepted online @edcuation.goa.gov.in till the February 2019. Interested candidates can fill the application form with a scanned JPEG and signature. After completing the online application form, it is advised you to take a print of the application form containing the registration number, applied papers, and complete residential address. After filling up the application form, you need to submit the application fee as per the instructions. The details of the Goa TET fee structure is given in the following table-

    Goa TET Exam Pattern

    There will be two papers in the Goa TET exam namely Paper-1 and Paper-2. Paper-1 is mandatory for Primary teachers while Paper-2 is compulsory for those candidates, who want to teach for upper primary classes. If any candidate wants to teach for both the levels then he/she has to qualify both papers.

    You have to solve all the questions in each paper within 2 hours and 30 minutes. There will be 150 MCQs in each paper. Each question will carry 1 mark and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

    Goa TET Syllabus

    The Goa TET syllabus is quite similar to the CTET syllabus. Hence, for more clarity, you can refer the CTET syllabus. The difficulty level of paper-1 will be of secondary level while the paper-2 will be senior secondary level.     Goa TET Eligibility Criteria

    The eligibility criteria to sit in both the papers i.e. paper-1 and paper-2 is as follows-

    Paper-1
    • Class 12th with 45-50% marks and D.EI.Ed with 50% marks or B.EI.Ed. with 50% marks

    Or

    • As per the latest NCTE rules, candidates who have passed B.Ed. with 50% marks, can also apply for primary teacher posts.
     

    Paper-2
    • B.A, B.Sc. or B.Com with 45-50% marks and B.Ed with 50% marks

    Or

    • Candidates with Master’s degree and B.Ed. can also apply for Paper II exam.
     

     

    Paper 1 & 2 (Both)
    • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of B.El.Ed.

    Or

    • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

    Goa TET 2018-19 Cutoff Marks

    Since the Goa TET exam is qualifying in nature and there will be no relative marking. Your performance will be evaluated individually. The Goa TET cutoff marks as per the Goa TET notification @education.goa.gov.in are as follows-
